Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser REVIEW
Okay, Let me start off my saying... I am on the fence about this concealer. A lot of people rave about it, and that is why I decided to give it a try! I am personally really into heavier concealers that are more on the creamy, thick side. This concealer is not that. It's very sheer and light. That isn't necessarily a bad thing though. I find that it isn't cakey looking and surprisingly covers decently. However, it's not going to cover extreme dark circles or give you that highlight effect that some people like. It also has a very interesting packaging. One that I'm still unsure about. It is a twist up applicator that pushes the product up into a fuzzy little sponge.... that's the best way I can describe it. What I find a little bit frustrating is that you don't have a lot of control on how much product you apply to your skin. I often times have to apply it once, rub it in, then apply it a second or 3rd time. However... it does blend out smoothly and has a silky quality about it. This product is about $8.99 which is on the higher side for drugstore makeup. It also comes in 6 colors which is pretty good for a drugstore brand. I will be honest though, I definitely reach for my other concealers over this one when applying my makeup. Or even worse, I apply a different concealer over the top of this one to get a little more coverage. But, with all that said, if you like lighter and more of a natural coverage, this is definitely for you and totally worth purchasing!! I however will not repurchase.
I usually rate products with 1-5 stars. But with this one I'm going to pass. It's good for certain types of people, but not a good product for others. It totally depends on the look you are going for! :)
